How can I identify estuaries or portions of them that have been obscured by developmend and in need of restoration?
Estuaries, like river floodplains that they are often connected to, are often obscured by historical land development such as agriculture and urbanization (using tide gates, dikes, dredging etc.) (Collins 2008).
