Floodplain width

Width of the floodplain at an elevation of two multiples of bankfull depth, a common floodplain.

The spatial extent of the floodplain is determined by an elevation above the channel in units of bankfull depths or by an absolute elevation, and by the search radius (of valley elevations) adjacent to the channel.
