Thermal Sensitivity

This attribute evaluates effects of riparian forests on thermal loading; it uses a watershed wide estimated average vegetation density (using Beer's Law) and tree height. It provides a sensitivity analysis of the thermal load changes (with and without vegetation) to determine where the most thermally at risk or sensitive streams are located in a watershed, a useful analysis when considering the effects of wildfire or timber harvest on increases in thermal energy to streams.
